Atlantic Zeiser as sponsor on the Pharmaceutical Serialization & Traceability Conference in Geneva
From 3rd November until 4th November the Pharmaceutical Serialization & Traceability Conference in Geneva was held for the fifth time. Atlantic Zeiser was one of the sponsors. Among the 150 delegates from all over the world ranked pharmaceutical manufactures, contract manufactures as well as consultants and associations of interest.
During the lunch and coffee breaks the delegates had the possibility to learn more about Atlantic Zeiser’s one-stop solution concept for serialization and track & trace applications including the MEDTRACKER software. In addition in many one to one conversations and during the plenary sessions views were actively exchanged.
The implications of the postponed ANVISA regulation in Brazil as well discussed as the latest legislation draft from Russia or the obligation to also serialize veterinary drugs for the Chinese market, for which Atlantic Zeiser already offers a unique solution.
Other controversial debates arose about the pros and cons of tamper evident labeling in comparison to gluing of folding boxes or the cost-benefit ratio of aggregation in the EU market without the legal obligation to do so.
For CMOs it turned out that in future they will need to adapt to the needs of their inhomogeneous customers groups (big pharma vs. small biotech) in order to react flexibly in terms of serialization.
Another topic of great importance was the data repository and forwarding of serialization data to the EU hubs which still represents a partly unknown component posing several challenges.
Also next year Atlantic Zeiser will be an active sponsor of this event which will take place from 1st November until 2nd November.
