Flexible card production portfolio poised to maximize exciting market opportunities
Atlantic Zeiser will highlight its array of highly creative, modular, cost effective solutions for the production of personalized ID, Driving License, Voter and Health Insurance cards at CARTES in Asia, Hong Kong, March 27 and 28.
“The timing and location of this event are perfect for a couple of reasons,” comments René Stoerk, Director Sales Card Systems, Atlantic Zeiser. “First, the card market is one of the few to buck the global economic trend and achieve double digit growth during a turbulent economic period, according to the International Card Manufacturers Association’s (ICMA) Global Card Market Statistics Report. Secondly, Asia itself is enjoying growth in all aspects of card production, including ID and loyalty – particularly as retailers and brands are looking to introduce loyalty initiatives that have already proven to be highly successful in Europe and North America.”
Atlantic Zeiser’s information Booth No 3 F 024 will highlight how the 6,000 c/h PERSOLINE focuses on the personalization of ID-card applications delivering high processing speed at significant lower consumable cost. The system features DOD inkjet printing capabilities allowing full color photo personalization on preprinted cards. Complete full bleed artwork printing and personalization on blank card stock is possible in one pass. For enhanced security the print can either be protected by covering the entire card face with a security laminate using the special patented Atlantic Zeiser CoolShield lamination process. Alternative a high durable varnish layer for spot-varnish or full bleed varnish can be offered. PERSOLINE combines these features with scalable chip programming (contact + contactless) of up to 120 programming heads, HiCo and LoCo magnetic encoding and binary or grayscale laser marking. Additionally special security features are available even in combination with the 4 color DOD printing module.
Atlantic Zeiser will also be demonstrating fast personalization of magstripe cards including closed and open loop gift cards, loyalty and membership cards with its global best-seller, the 30,000 c/h CARDLINE VERSA. This versatile personalization system can handle a wide range of card formats such as CR80 cards, odd-shaped cards and hangtags. It offers fast set-up times and quick job changeover while the adjustable high-speed mag encoding (HiCo and LoCo) allows encoding of magstripes in ISO and non-ISO positions and even simultaneous encoding of two parallel magstripes. Encoding is possible top-down or bottom-up. Other features include an inline ATTACHing module for attaching carriers to the cards as well as a flipping module for one pass personalization of both card faces as required for open loop cards.
“Our modular systems are scalable and field upgradable, delivering maximum flexibility with a clear upgrade path,” adds Stoerk. “We want visitors to see how we can help them create a valuable card production proposition that exactly suits their markets and budgets.
